Last year I bought new ski goggles. It is a pair of Smith goggles. A pair of I/OX to be exact. While I am VERY satisfied with them I could not resist to try to test a pair of cheap goggles too. They cost a tenth and if promising only half the quality of the Smith goggles they would be worth the price. And while taste is personal, I do think that these goggles look cool.

Well, let’s make the story short. They failed hard. Rock hard. With the (normal) conditions usually found in mountains such as hard sun and thick mist they did not cope with either.

No matter how goggles look, it’s the lens that help you through the day. The cheap goggles lack the lens quality. Simple, hard but true!
